I'm planning to attend the first Swiss BlogCamp -- a gathering with an open, un-conference format modeled on BarCamp -- which will take place on Saturday March 24 in Zurich, at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. The event is organized by my friends Peter Hogenkamp and Remo Uherek together with Dominik Tarolli and William Lüthy, all engaged entrepreneurs/bloggers/innovation evangelists. The un-conference format is straightforward: 200 people can attend, for free (just sign up on the wiki page, still a few passes left). There are several equipped rooms/auditoriums but there is no conference program: those who believe they have something valuable to say or to share sign up (on the same page) for a speaking slot and take the stage (here is a video that explains the BarCamp concept). Speeches will be in any of the Swiss languages or in English. There will be food&drinks (sponsored - if you're interested in sponsoring BlogCamp, contact Dominik) and free wi-fi, and hopefully a lot of meaningful, interesting conversations.
