This is apparently blog celebration month in Switzerland: while we were in Bienne at the Swiss Blog Awards (see previous post), a jury in Zurich was picking the nominees for the other national prize, the Souris d'Or/Goldene Maus. And it turns out that this blog is nominated in the category "themeblogs". Here the full list of nominees:

Thank you for mention my blog. Its name is "Blog-Wiese", because the German Word "Wiese" = field, green yard, is my family name. So no "Blogwise" like "Clockwise" please.. :-)

I am very glad to be nominated, too, in the category "Life". The idea of my blog the view of a German on Switzerland. We live here for 5 years, and we still discover every day a new word of the Swiss-German language, which is very proud not to be a dialect at all, but a real language. So it's a lot of linguistique reflection, also about the little differences between the Germans and the Suiss. If you can read German, I would be happy to find you among the readers.
